The ski resort Loferer Alm is family-friendly and has its valley station right in the historical centre of Lofer. The ski resort is located at a height of 640 to 1750 metres, with most of its facilities at the Loferer Alm. Despite the fact that the ski resort is about 300 metres lower than the "neighbouring ski resorts" of Saalbach Hinterglemm and Maria Alm, still snow is guaranteed throughout the season, as it is a location where it snows more often due to natural circumstances.
The ski resort has always been known as child and family friendly. The resort does not only have clear visibility, but thanks to the ski schools you and your children will master skiing and snowboarding in no time. Both for the beginning and experienced skier and snowboarder, the Almenwelt Lofer offers plenty of challenges on and next to the piste.
During the Skiareatest the Almenwelt Lofer was selected as the best family ski resort of Austria.Skigebiete-test.de too chose Almenwelt Lofer as its best ski resort for families and children, and awarded it 5 stars (the highest possible). The biggest testing institute of ski resorts worldwide, Skiresort.de, selected Almenwelt Lofer as the best ski resort for families with children.
Almenwelt Lofer has a total of 46 kilometres of prepared pistes. This includes:
• 31 kilometres blue (easy)
• 12 kilometres red (moderate)
• 3 kilometres black (hard)
There's a fun park / snow park for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. It commences at the mountain station of the Family Express.
