Lofer is situated in Saalachtal, at a height of 639 metres, and surrounded by the Loferer and Reither Steinberge and spurs of the Chiemgauer Alps. Both in summer and winter many visitors find their way to Lofer for an unforgettable holiday.
Landhaus Sonnheim and Sonnheim Apartments are centrally located in the historic centre of Lofer. Thanks to the unique location of both houses in a dead-end street and the mountains literally in the backyard, there's hardly any traffic and quietness is guaranteed. The lift, starting at the valley station Almenwelt Lofer, which carries you in summer to the Mittelstation / restaurant Loderbichl, and the heated Steinbergbad (an open air swimming pool in Lofer) are at a mere 150 metres from our apartments, as is the centre of Lofer. Hence, everything you need is in the vicinity of your apartment. That ensures a true holiday!
The attractive surroundings of Lofer invite you to hike, discover and explore the scenery. A number of hiking trails start right at our doorstep, and guide you to breathtaking panoramas. The Loferer Alm, the Seisenbergklamm, the Voderkaserklamm, the Schmidt-Zabierow-Hütte and the Litzalm are popular hiking trails. Approximately 25 hiking trails are available, with a combined length of over 300 kilometres. Of course it's also possible to explore by bicycle or mountain bike, and tennis, archery, fitness, horse riding and golf are possible too. If you're looking for something more challenging, there's still mountaineering, rafting and paragliding, among others.

After all your activities you can relax on the side of the Steinbergbad, after which you could enjoy original Saalachtaler specialities at one of the restaurants.
